On the occasion of the 2024 European Athletics Championships, The Custodians Plastic Race is coordinating a thorough and methodical cleanup of Rome. The waste collection will take place on three consecutive days, June 7-9, 2024, in different areas of the city. The event to clean up the urban and natural environment of the city of Rome will be an extraordinary opportunity to unite the community in pro-environmental action. For the second year in a row we are sailing with the Marina Militare Nastro Rosa Tour 2024. We will follow all 9 stopovers where The Custodians Plastic Race will coordinate a clean-upactivity in all the cities where the tour stops.

Foiling Week is the first event in the world completely dedicated to foiling boats and alldesigners and builders, born in Malcesine in 2014. Foiling Week is not just a regatta, but acomplete event, with conferences, boat trials, foil lessons and side events.
We will be present with our stand every day from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and we will be happy tointroduce you to the BioDesign Foundation. The Foundation tackles environmental challengesat their root with The Custodians Earth Solution Project (CESP), a platform that turns problemsinto ‘challenge, solution and action’.
The BioDesign Foundation aims to promote sustainable living through the integration ofecology, sports, music, and culture. Sports encourage active lifestyles, music buildscommunity, and culture spreads sustainable values, educating people on eco-friendlypractices. The Custodians Plastic Race moves to international shores with the European Match RaceTour.
During the clean-up days, we will actively engage in the clean-up of previously identified locations by means of the CESP application - The Custodians Earth Solution Platform. More information at the ‘Detailed Event Programme’.
Match Racing is one of the oldest and more exciting disciplines in the sport of sailing. The same discipline of sailing used by the sport’s oldest sporting trophy since 1851, the America’s Cup. It is one of the easiest types of sailing to understand with just two boats around a race course in a winner-take-all duel of tactics, strategy and teamwork.Teams compete in different boats at each stage of the European Match Race Tour, however the boats supplied at each event are identical. To keep the competition 100% fair and equal, teams rotate boats during the event.

On the occasion of the collaboration with LCI Barcelona and the opening of the exhibition dedicated to the famous designer Luigi Colani, scheduled for 18 October 2024, The Custodians Plastic Race will organise a major urban clean-up activity on 11 October 2024 in Barcelona. The clean-up event will be an extraordinary opportunity to unite the community in a concrete action for the environment. During the day on 11 October, participants will actively contribute to the clean-up of selected areas of the city, identified through the CESP - The Custodians Earth Solution Platform.

With the help of the CESP app, a database of georeferenced reports for mapping environmental pollution, the BioDesign Foundation is bringing together different segments of society in this race against time, launching the project The Custodians Plastic Race. Collaborations with the Navy, Coast Guard, Civil Protection, Guardia di Finanza, companies, associations, schools, universities, and volunteers have laid the foundation for understanding how each of us is committed to resolving the challenge of microplastic pollution, always with the motto All Together Now!
From 2022, The Custodians Plastic Race has landed in Italy, Spain, Germany, Macedonia, and Bulgaria. The goal is to carry out the first nationwide cleanup in Italy in 2025. A thorough cleaning of the seas and lands encourages a cultural shift towards respecting nature and the environments we live in everyday. Everyone's contribution is needed to change course, clean up the planet, and keep it clean: this the only option we have. There are no superheroes, only super teams.
